pvbiochar website content & functionality requests

Would like everyone to try things out, and give feedback on what you think.

If you don't know how to do something, you will find there are many answers in the HELP tab. Or feel free to message me. (Peter King)

Peter
rec'd test test and read it 3 X.

Would there be room in the archieves for a brief history of PVBI, and from which roots it evolved.
This may help answer a newbie's questions about the orginization and all the previous foundation work that occurred in the past  Ancestors (  "STEP IT UP-Belchertown", early PVBI,... ).

If there are NO objections for the sub-committee format,....I would suggest  a (  one on one ) phone conference, followed by a voice or video teleconfernce. The technology is there, costs are minimal, and save a lot of gas, resources and time.

Ted,

I think it would be a good idea to have an 'about PVBI' page, and include this short history. I can create the page, if you or someone else could create the text.

Phone conference sounds like a good idea. We could also video conference, with Skype or iChat. Eventually I would like to set up a system for group video chat using flash.

How close are we to a functioning pvbiochar.org web site?
What about a simple video on terra preta or
at least some links to information and our PVBI mission statement

I developed some text for the home page, but it didn't cut the mustard with the group. There was also an idea to simply repost a brief biochar description from IBI, but I kinda feel that we want to inspire our local community to get involved, and that we should try harder to create some engaging text.  I feel we need a welcoming and inspiring home page message that perhaps introduces the promise of biochar in a nutshell.  Short and simple.

Perhaps our mission statement could be on an about page.

I am happy to put up those pages, but I would really appreciate others to please take a stab at coming up with text for both home page, and about.

Other links to information could be put in the forum as a sticky topic at the top of the 'Biochar Reference" area perhaps. Perhaps 'Biochar Reference" is a bad/flat/uninspiring topic category title

Hi Peter,
I have been looking for a library or file repository and have been able to add files to a message that I posted.  So we could set up a topic that was a specific library area by category.  Do you have any other suggestions?
